The design process was more about exploring the exploitation on one idea and emerging the best from each then combining them into one concise outcome. Derived through my annotations and direct quotes I began to experiment with shape, structure and volume while adapting a minimalistic approach. This garment explores the principles of Cristobal Balenciaga, inspired by the ’shaping fashion’ exhibition I take the design quotes “elegance is elimination”, ”framing the body rather than restricting it”, and ”balance minimalism with extravagance”.
